to do...
I did nothing but blog and webber around last night...boo-urns. And then I went to bed "early" to be at the store this morning bright and early. I do love NSD...all the ladies are so excited to be in the store and cropping. Plus somebody else feeds me lunch and snacks and I get to hang out with my friends...who could ask for more!
Check out the TNT Blog for another sticker letter layout...and a little Spock action.

Pictures...at last!
But here are some photos...Blogger was giving me a hard time last time I tried to load them! But success has come at last!
The present I made for Nadine...a sneak peek!
Me and my girls at our 10 year High School Reunion on Saturday. My camera (the old one) has a smudge on the lens care of Lucas, so all my photos are turning out really smudgy. And I look awful.
Lucas in the latest trend: Pullups and Winter Boots. All the cool kids are doing it!
Look! it's David Beckham!! on the big screen! Russ and I went to the "friendly" game between his L.A. Galaxy and the Vancouver Whitecaps on Tuesday. I have never before watched a game of real "football" on TV or otherwise, so it was a treat for me! The weather was crap (spotty rain and cold wind all night!) But I got a giant slice of pizza and lots of pickles and a yummy pretzel, and Vancouver won, and every time Beckham touched the ball everyone would cheer!
Calling all HandyWomen! I totally went out and bought a coat-hook-deal this morning at IKEA and then installed it (by myself...power tools and all) this afternoon. I still have two shelves I bought over 2 years ago sitting in my basement waiting to be hung. But I was determined to put this one up, so I did!! And it hasn't fallen down!!
I bought an Organizing magazine the other day so I have a list of things to purchase, or clean, or move around. We'll see how far I get! This little coat hanger was my first attempt at trying to better organize my "mud room." You see, the people in the magazine have mudrooms, and pantries, and bedrooms that are the size of the entire upper level in my house...not exactly organizing for the masses, but it has some good ideas in it that I will have to try and adapt to fit my meager budget and small space!

more home art
the first is a little guy I whipped up to put in my kitchen. I alcohol ink-ed the knife (just one out of my drawer...I have 2 sets of "silver"ware in my house.), did Juli's technique on the butterfly (with Ranger's Red Pepper alcohol ink and Forever Red perfect pearls) and used some garbage I found at TM (the leftovers from some pop-dots). Then filled in some of the holes with shiny buttons, added some Heidi Swapp chipboard numbers and hung it up with some ribbon I got in my Goodie Box last year. The background is a page out of a Prima chipboard album covered in Ranger Colour Wash (Red Pepper and Butterscotch) and some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Daffodil). It was just a fun thing to try while I waited for other projects to dry! Plus I wanted to see what the colour washes and the glimmer mist looked like together.
This next one is something I have been "planning" for a couple of months now, but never had just the right stuff to put on it. The magazine Anam gave me inspired me to alcohol ink some cutlery, and it kind of took off from there.
I found a nice quote about "home" in one of my books, printed it out on the computer to finish it off.
I finished another cool little piece on the weekend, but I'm going to try and find a frame for it before I take a picture. It actually fits the theme of Nadine's first challenge over at Delite Designs. Lucky me!
Fortune Cookie Series
Here is my first little set of collage art that I was working on until a loony-hour on Saturday. These are going in my kitchen. I copied fortunes that I had saved from cookies...and then added my own little funny tagline. For example: "Tomorrow will be lucky and memorable for you. Today you might as well just go back to bed."
Thanks to Juli and Kara for teaching me how to use my Glimmer Mist. I bought Daffodil and I haven't put it down! Now I have to decide what I want more...new Hambly or another Glimmer Mist...or the New Heidi Swapp...
Layouts 2, 3, and 4 feature Riff Raff Designs chipboard (cherry blosson, giant swirly-do, and music notes)
I'm planning on doing another series for my living room (all greens and stuff), and a cute little hanger for my entry way. Anam lent me a cool altered item maga-ma-zine and I am in love! I can't wait to alcohol ink some spoons and do a ripped paper house! I am in heaven!
