Our Camping Tradition

Without fail - okay, with some breaks throughout the years - we have gone camping with my step-Dad's family every August long weekend. We head north-east to Ross Lake, take over one of the group sites, and generally be rowdy for three days!

Mom, Dude & I swim in the beautiful lake.

And I usually make friends with some wildlife.

We play "Camp Olympics".

We eat...and eat...

We make Dough-Gobbies and smores and pie iron pies.
(and eat some more!)

We sit around and chat, or draw, and just enjoy being outside in a beautiful location with awesome people!

Next year there is talk of heading to a different lake, and maybe even on a different weekend. I'm not too worried about all of that...it's the time spent that counts.

Fill In The Gaps

I've been really busy lately, but some days I feel like I am moving in slow motion. So much going on, and so much more to squeeze out of summer!

Thought I would play a bit of catch up on the blog here. And maybe catch myself up as well...enjoy.

Specifics about all these amazing days to come!

How is your summer coming along?!

If I could live anywhere in the world....

It would be here.

Well, maybe not precisely here, but it would be a place that looked just like that. Insert a tiny cabin, some fishing gear, a giant garden, and some Zombie-killing tools and I'd be set! Wait, would I get a cell signal/the Internet? I might have to re-tool this plan a little. (Wink)

Mt. Robson, BC. Taken on our last big road trip, as we were headed for home...

update: I should have mentioned that you really need to click on those photo sources. These are ladies who have small but successful and beautiful blogs. They are worth a moment of your day to go see what all my fuss is about. Trust me...
