So, I have to now admit that I am kind of a fashion blogger! I guess I was the only one in denial, but there it is. Being such a thing as that, there are of course downfalls & pitfalls & "comedy of errors" that come with. Observe.
Sometimes you don't notice that paperclip stored away on your shirt for safekeeping & giant hideous band-aid until after you've taken all your photos. And then, well, you're too damn lazy and COLD to take them again.
Sometimes your hair looks so bad after a long day of neglect & forced air. But you don't notice until you've taken all your photos, and what are you, some kind of hair dresser? And your makeup is all gone and you look so of frazzled, but it's gym time, man! And you just want to get it all over with and get on that darn elliptical thingy!
Sometimes it's really hard to find a good location to take your photos. And it's cold - and dark - up here in the Northern Hemisphere, so you take what you can get. But when you've taken five crap pictures in the dark hovel that you call home, you kind of go a little silly, and, well....
When you are taking photos in the parking lot of Spa Lady before you head in, with your camera perched on the trunk of your car, sometimes three people walk right by you. You can see their eyes watching you. And judging you. And you giggle. And get a couple more pictures in!
Sometimes you are stuck taking pictures in a parking lot on the windiest of windy days. And you use your standard "car trunk tripod" for your precious little camera. And the damn wind goes & blows your camera right off the trunk! And on to the cold, hard, snowy ground. And the screen goes blank. And stays blank. And you swear a lot. But you look really cute, so there's that.
It takes a lot of time, and effort to be a fashion blogger, and a crappy one at that! Imagine how much time & effort & panache it takes those ladies who actually take it seriously! HA!

p.s. We've got another "What to Wear" post coming at you next week (floral, I believe). And we've changed up our method of delivery a little bit, so watch for that. Otherwise, peace out! I've got some beer to drink!
I truly and thoroughly enjoy you! sigh
ReplyDeleteyou're awesome.
ReplyDeleteHaha, this is great. I commend you for taking pics outside during Canadian winters. I tend to only go outside in the summer, and my inside picture taking secret is to spend an hour on the weekend in the afternoon when the light is still good in the house and take three or four sets. ;p
ReplyDeleteHahaha I love this. You are awesome.
