It's Always Time for Sequins

a couple shades of blue...

Sequins people. SEQUINS! I love this skirt. Even though it is literally a pain in the ass to sit in. And I inevitably end up losing a couple (or ten) sequins when I wear it. It makes a lovely swishy noise when I walk, and frankly I think I look pretty damn HAWT!

But was feeling a little chilly! HA! I am trying to find new places around my house to take fashion photos. This is right behind our garbage bins actually...hmmm...And I am standing in a couple feet of snow. On a hill. And my tripod is an electrical box. Classy lady over here.

And now it is time to check out some other classy ladies - nice segue - and their Shades of Blue.

And I would like to finish with a "my son is fricken awesome" story.

We listened to this new song in the car on the way to dinner from Grandma's on the night I took these photos. And by listened, I mean I sung the lyrics at the top of my lungs, and Dude & I jammed out. When we finally got home, I downloaded the whole album and stuck this song into his playlist. And he proceeded to sing the chorus for me, over and over and over again. When he was in the bathroom. When he was setting up his Heroica game. When he was headed up to bed. He was even trying to imitate the singer's voice, and admonished me when I didn't get it raspy enough.

"This is it, the Apocalypse.
I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones.
Enough to make my systems blow.
Welcome to the New Age.
I'm Radioactive."

  1. That skirt is super awesome--almost as awesome as your kid sounds! I'm unable to ever resist the allure of sequins, and now I want to check out the band you mentioned. Those lyrics are haunting and cool.

You're fancy!! Sequins. Whoa. I can't say I own anything with sequins. They're fun, though.
