Mondays are the worst...

Well, Sunday nights are the worst in anticipation of Mondays even worseness. Mondays means I most likely stayed up too late the night before, but I am shocked wide awake with my alarm, which comes too fast. I may or may not have made it to the gym, and I probably just ate whatever the hell I felt like eating (and whenever) for the past three days. I am exhausted, and I usually want to eat my lunch by about 10am. And since I am so disorganized, I probably didn't pack a nice (and healthy) mid-morning snack to tide me over.

And it doesn't help that I had a "fun" weekend this time around. With family. Which means lots drinking and eating and general laziness. Although I did spend my fair share of time in the pool & on the trampoline. So that balances things out, right?!

"No way" says my pants.

If any of you out there have ever been fat or have food issues, you know what I mean when I say that these days feel like the bottom. You know you feel like garbage. And you know that you put yourself there. And you feel a bit like a failure.

The really best thing about having done what I've done for myself in the body department is knowing that I can turn this crappy weekend around. That it is NOT forever, this feeling, and that I have the power to change it all for the better!

That's the best fricken feeling in the world, my friends.

And I know that one day I will have fully conquered this. And I won't have to stop myself from going gaga at a buffet, and stop myself from standing in the kitchen opening bag after bag of junk when I am having a hollow day. Because I believe people can change. Scratch that...I believe that I can change.

I can damn well win this battle, this week. Next week is a crap shoot, but isn't that just the way life goes anyway?

later loves

I am going to (maybe) start posting real recipes here. I am not a big recipe person, but with all the diet-changing stuff I have been doing I thought it might be fun to put them out there! These will NOT be original recipes...I haven't completely changed! HA!

I know! I just know. Everything here. Yes!

Mondays are the worst (especially when you have a tequila hangover and you're forced to go to work). Also, eating junk to remedy the hangover, which then gives you a Tuesday food hangover where you're body is just screaming for some vegetables.

Why do we do this to ourselves?
