Hammer Time

So I am big into music...not like crazy obsessed or anything, but I listen to lots of different kinds of music, a lot of the time and it's important in my life.

So I am going to share with you some of my favourite artists. Every once in awhile.

This post is not dedicated to MC Hammer as the title would suggest, but to Beck. I {heart} Beck. So I have filled this post with Beck videos for you to enjoy.

Devil's Haircut...A funny story about this video. Back when this song came out, in 1996, my friends and I were high school hooligans. We were wandering down Whyte Ave one day and saw a guy walking toward us wearing the exact same outfit Beck is wearing in this video. It was like an out of body moment for us!

Girl...is one of my ultimate favourite songs.



Gamma Ray from his latest album that I own. The only true way to fully listen to this song is by sort of nodding your head and twisting your shoulders along to the music. I liken it to the dance done by Joan Cusack in the movie 16 Candles. Her character is the one with the neck brace and the shirt with the doll on it. Most awesome.


His songs and videos are just so clever! And he is totally handsome and dresses the bestest.

Thanks for putting up with my little Beck post. I never have anything terribly clever or inspiring to say about the music I like. Just that I like it and want to share. If you want an analysis, check out Alan Cross...that guy knows his stuff!
