Oh yeah. My titles are just getting weirder and weirder and more awesome by the week.
If any of you know me at all, like, even a little teensy bit, you know that I am absolutely dying to make all of these "What to Wear" posts super ironic. Or tongue-in-cheek. Or whatever you think it means to make fun of something that you enjoy, while you are enjoying it and not take yourself (or your blog post) too seriously.
But then I thought: "Y'know, this isn't your feature, and maybe these other ladies take this very seriously, so show some respect! Damnit!!"
And so I will, and I am...in my own style!
And so without further adieu...what to wear to a bonfire...
I don't think I have ever been to a bonfire. So I had to guess what would be appropriate attire. I hope this fits the bill, and helps all of you out when you too are considering wardrobe options when attending a fall bonfire this season.
I recommend long pants...well, longish. And a (cute) scarf and sweater, in case it gets chilly. Oh, and close-toed shoes in case someone asks you to chop some wood while you're there.
And to really show off to all of your friends, download an Evening Sky Map and impress everyone with your vast knowledge of the cosmos!
Check out the other ladies playing along this week:

This outfit accompanied me on my bike ride to the mall tonight. To pick up some mail and do some library browsing...
The scarf was a bad idea in this heat. Ditto for the sweater and the pants. Bonfire yes. August bike ride...no.
later loves
p.s. this is one of the best "photo shoots" I have done for myself in a long time...yay me!
I ADORE THE HAIR PHOTOS!!! You are the best.
ReplyDeleteAs far as taking What to Wear seriously, you've seen some of my outfits and posts (the garden post, in particular), I'm all about having fun with them.
P.S. Your friendship bracelet is in the mail!!
Your hair posts are my favs--so fun! I love making my hair imitate a cockatiel, so you know, solidarity. I was thinking when I saw this outfit that it looked too warm for biking--it is cute, though, and you should keep on having fun.
ReplyDeleteAlthough the rest of us take these posts seriously. Srsly now.
definitely a good bonfire outfit! the scarf and chucks make it perfect.
ReplyDeleteLOL cute post! hahaha made me laugh! also had to check out all the other blogs to see what they would wear to a bonfire... Being a big self proclaimed bonfire enthusiast I would definitely be outfitted in something similar to Adriana from Horses of Ares... basically jeans, big hoodie, and shoes that i don't care much for... aka my bonfire shoes! my hair would be up because I hate the smell of the day after bonfire! hehe let me know if I can join you for the next what to wear post!
