Twisted Sketches DT

Another fun and fabulous Twisted Sketch went live yesterday...I don`t know how Anam keeps coming up with such fun sketches!!

The twist this time is family...
Supplies list:
Woodgrain pattern paper is new Crate Paper. Background paper is some random sheet of paper that was left in my cubby at work...those girls know what I like!
I`ve got a Jenni Bowlin label sticker in there, as well as some stickers from the latest Sassafras Lass line designed by Michelle Clements.
The `Good`transparency is from Teresa Collins.
The rub on up the side of the photo is an old (old) Basic Grey that was pretty much falling apart as I tried to put it on! And the other two are also Basic Grey...maybe...i can`t remember!
The big sticker letters are all American Crafts (felt and foam) and the little guys are My Little Shoebox.
The big green button is Jenni Bowlin and the little one is from my stash.
The cassette tape doodle is from an old Elsie Flannigan-Red Velvet Art kit. (no longer available)
Techniques...are sort of simple, but well worth the little time it takes!
1. Stitching. I like doing little Xs because they look so classic. Take your needle and punch your holes first. You can eyeball the placement. Then grab some embroidery floss in a fun colour and go to town! The new Sassafras Lass stuff is covered with embroidery and stitching, I just couldn`t resist adding it to my layout.
2. Colouring. having a young one in the house, I pick up a colouring book or crayon at least once a day!  For this layout I thought the rub on needed a little something more, so I grabbed a pencil and gently shaded around the edges. You could add some colour to a rub on using this technique as well.
About the title: `Good Mix Tape`
My step-dad`s last name is Good. My Mom`s is as well, but she has had many different last names. Amy and I were never Goods, but our names are different than they were before we got married, and added some extra boys to the family! We are the `Mix Tape`, which just refers to all the different personalities and names and families coming together on one awesome soundtrack!!

That`s it peeps. As per usual, check out the main Twisted Sketches blog for all the layouts as well as the original sketch. I could keep doing this forever...I`m going to be sad when my time is up on this DT!
