calling all cake bakers

I need a great chocolate cake recipe. one that will appeal to 5 year olds and can be baked as cupcakes.

I don't bake. But I don't want to buy a cake mix.

    I know you said you wanted a cake, but I found a really easy recipe for cupcakes from Martha! As well, if you don't have buttermilk then see the substitute (I've done this before and it works!!).
