we're back...!

and we got some new neighbours while we were away. or rather, they showed up the same day we came back. also, who ever heard of the old guys moving out and the new guys moving in on the same day?

i am so tanned, and so not ready for work to start back again, and get back to "normal". I wish wandering around a lake, eating snacks, and taking all day to read the paper was normal! oh well. I was a productive scrapbooker while I was away, if you can believe it! Here is the cover of the camping album I made...I'm going to take some more photos and post that here next week. What is with the wonky colour?

It turned out fairly fabulous...I brought the Fuji Instax with me, so I actually added photos as I went. genius, I know. I brought minimal supplies: some tiny letter stickers, bling, Elsie chipboard buttons, American Crafts stickers, glue sticks and two Sharpies. I made sure to write in it three times a day, so I never got behind on events, and it never got to be a chore. It was a lot of fun, and the whole family enjoyed looking through it at the end. I got a nice group shot with the Fuji to put on the last page!

In the meantime, I have to get myself motivated to post the next TNT topic up on the blog! I had to postpone it because I was busy getting ready for camping, and now I have missed a whole week of posting. Eek! tomorrow is catch up time...in between laundry and cleaning up.

We did the St. Albert Farmer's Market today...man is that thing huge! Lucas was quite excited about the blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and lemonade. he refused almost every offer of free sample put before him, and he was interested that we were in a different city, and wondered how far away from Edmonton it was! But there was so much construction on the way there and back.

I'll finish off with a tiny sampling of all the photos I took on the trip. I've got to go through them all and get some to Mom, so maybe I'll post some more next week. Until then...

  1. Welcome home. Terrific pics and I am SO impressed that you worked on the album while you were "living" it!
