going to the sun

Let me preface this post by saying that I love mountains. I mean, I really lurve them. We spent a little bit of time on our second last day in Montana hiking in Glacier National Park, and we figured since we had already bought the 7-day pass (thanks Cheryl!) we might as well take the "scenic route" home the next day.

And FYI, I think "scenic" is a supreme understatement.

Now, I don't like heights. Mountains give me a strange sense of vertigo when I look up at them, and a narrow winding mountain pass is not my idea of a "fun time". But this was amazing!

Please note that my photos DO NOT in any way do these majestic views justice. I have a crappy little point and shoot that I have used an abused these past two years. It takes the worst photos imaginable! The lushness and the grandeur and the sheer magnitude of these peaks and valleys and craggy, snow-covered caps...there are no words. But in my memory, they will always remain whole. These pictures are just simple reminders...
