52 Books

I was updating my 2011 Book-Learning page when I noticed that I am only four books away from reaching my goal for the year! If you can't remember what that was all about, I refer you to this post, which took me forever to find, mind you. I need to revamp this whole blog-thing!

Anyhoo...I was thinking I should celebrate this upcoming milestone with a giveaway! Hazzah!!

And so, I am giving away one of my favourite books and, cause I love y'all so much, a $10 Chapters gift card!

Leave a comment here with a little book recommendation of your very own and you could win!!

I have set myself up to probably finish early, but not super early! I am struggling through a long book with tiny font right now, and I might have to open up a re-read to get through this month!!

UPDATED: I realized long after the fact that I forgot to put a deadline on this! Let's say, midnight on November 22nd! M'kay. That gives you lots of time, and I'll be sure to give you lots of reminders too!

  1. I love reading all types of books but my number one choice would be horror type of books and my favorite author of all time is Edward Lee. My favorite book, Ive read it 5 times....normally I only read a book once LOL My favorite book is City Infernal by Edward Lee.

  2. I used to read alot, and I'm kind of intrigued by this 52 book idea... although I might have to cut it down. I would recommend Perks of Being a Wallflower, read this book a long time ago when I worked at Chapters and I loved it! Its in the teen section though Steven S something is the author... Sorry I don't remember his last name at the moment...i just saw a preview based on this novel.

PS I read your old post and I'm with you... I have the biggest crush on Ron Weasley and the twins!!

  3. I have totally read Perks of Being a Wallflower AND I read it because it was in the "recommended by staff" section of Chapters!! Funny!!

  4. oh i just finished reading (and when i say just i meant a month ago... thats how long I haven't picked up a book for) The Secret Daughter by Shilpi Somaya Gowda... gets you craving Indian Food alot... and I don't even like Indian Food! hehe

  5. OK, the best book I've ever read (and it's not fiction) is THE GIFT OF FEAR by Gavin deBeocker. A must read for all women and their kids, IMO.
And Chapters is my favorite place!

  6. I really liked The French Executioner by C.C. Huhmphries and also The Count of Monte Cristo. I'm in re-read mode for many books on my bookcase because I can't remember half of them!

I would love to hear from you, even if it's just a quick "Hello"...Comments make my day, dontcha know!
