I think we're now on layout #5...out of a possible 15?? I think that was the total at last count, but I can't even remember anymore!
I took these photos while we were camping at Gull Lake in the pouring rain! Thank goodness for my parent's trailer. Lucas "made" this wooden plant stand for Russel in Kindergarten. He got to use a hammer, sandpaper and a drill! I helped...and I think I needed a stiff drink after that one!!
Additions to the kit: Scattered Straw Distress Ink, black pen, ivory & grey cardstock
A funny thing happened on the way to the layout: I had just enough of the lined paper to make it my background...before I cut it wrong!! But I just kept plugging along with the layout, evidently oblivious to my blunder. Quick fix c/o Jill was to back the whole thing with a piece of cardstock! So this is actually an 8x8 layout stuck on to a 8.5x11 background! And it looks good!!
I post-dated a post on the Inspiration Blog today for another of the Month Kit layouts. There are still a couple of kits left (one of mine and maybe two of Chan's). It seems like so long ago that I put it together and started working on it, and I guess technically it was. Right now these colours do not factor into my scrapbooking! Maybe I got my fill of blues and greens for awhile! I've got some new Studio Calico, Crate and Jillibean on the go, and I hope to start sharing those layouts soon.
This is great, Lisa, I love the addition of the easy chair. Perfect!
