Welcome to the second post in the Jenni Bowlin Challenge Layout Series. Remember how I wrote that the last layout was my favourite in this series. Well, maybe what I should have written was that it is tied for the top spot with this layout. I mean, how could I overlook a layout featuring two of my favourite people in the world!?
In addition to the perfect Jenni Bowlin product, I've used some Pebbles pearls, and Kaiser Craft wispy leaves. The technique used to make the background is standard Lisa-fare: inking over a lace paper mask. The mask is old Basic Grey lace paper, and I used Distress Inks in a variety of colors, with a little water splatter for good measure!
And here's a little tip for you...Scrapbookers take pictures of trees. And mountains, and spiral staircases. It happens. Instead of devoting a layout to these photos, why not use some of those "scenery" photos to enhance layouts about people. They don't have to be the focus, think of them more like another piece of pattern paper or an embellishment. I took the photo of the clouds while we were camping, and it provided a great balance to the photos of Amy & Jacob, and kind of helps tell the story as well.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you're having a great week so far!
If you're interested, the colours of Distress Ink I used are: Scattered Straw, Walnut Stain & Weathered Wood.
Oooh your layout makes me want to go out and buy the BG lace paper!
