Crafty Thursday are (sort of) BACK!

Remember way back in January and beyond, when I was still a member of the Twisted Sketches DT, and I was posting a scrapbooking layout or project every Thursday? Whatever happened to that?

I would like to get back on that horse for many reasons:
#1. It would keep me being creative, in a scrappy way, on a more regular basis, and
B) It would give you, my loyal readers, something more to your liking, to read and enjoy every Thursday!

This is the closest I get to ever having some kind of regular, can-be-relied-upon schedule. So, yeah.

Here we go!

Layout Details: (let me know if this is something you could do without...)
Pattern paper: Studio Calico, Kaiser, Jenni Bowlin, Hambly (moustache and boy silhouette transparency)
Washi Tape and large flourish label sticker: Hambly
Letters: chipboard are TimHoltz (grungeboard, including the heart), small black are My Little Shoebox
Brads and bauble: American Crafts, Webster's Pages and unknown (blue rhinestone)

Techniques:
#1. I inked the heart and the grungeboard letters with three kinds of blue distress ink before stamping on them with a date stamp and black archival ink.
#2. The background is a Lisa-specialty > spray ink over a lace paper mask, and some alcohol ink dribbles thrown in for good measure.

I had a good chuckle after I printed these photos...there was a giant yellow Port-A-Pottie in the corner! Oh my! That just had to go...it clashed with my colour scheme...

I have finished a couple more layouts, but am saving them for future Thursdays so I don't burn myself out here first thing out of the gate. So if you like my scrapbooking, check back next Thursday and at least the Thursday after that for some more paper-goodness!

  1. I'll be here every Thursday. (Even if I AM about a week late, at the rate I'm going these days.)
Really wonderful LO, I adore how you did the grungeboard letters.
