Time for another Sketch and Layout. Yippee!
The "twist" this week is WRITE, so I wrote Lucas a little note.
Supplies Used
Patterned paper is Anna Griffin (the brown, I think), and Cosmo Cricket (the cassettes, one of my all-time favourite paper lines!). The words also come from the same Cosmo Cricket line (a border paper)
Chipboard gears are Riff Raff Design
Note cards are Jenni Bowlin (they are the bigger ones that come in coloured packs and I cut them down to size)
The big brad is from My Mind's Eye and the little ones are old Stampin Up!
Spray inks are Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (orange and turquoise, sorry I don't have the actual names of these guys) and Studio Calico (white)
Special Techniques
To create the fabulous background, I used an old set of KI Memories die cut letters, but first I punched out all the letters from the sheet and put them away! The leftover "packaging" makes a great mask!
I'm not sure what I did to the gears...lots of paint (black and teal) and that might just be it!
Go say hi to the ladies over at the main Twisted Sketches Blog, leave them some love (me too!), and check out the original sketch!
I'm going to take a couple more pictures of some of the details, and post them as well...maybe...
I am teaching a class tonight (yay!), but otherwise haven't done a lot of scrapbooking lately. boo. I am doing a little (teensy) December Daily to document all of Lucas' Calendar gifts. And so far so good! Maybe I'll post some shots of that as well...until then...
