Thursday are for...

My Stuff! I've been wanting to do only layouts on Thursdays - alternating Twisted Sketches ones with ones just for me - but I haven't been scrapbooking lately. Not really. I've been busy getting Christmas presents done, and just yesterday I ran out of black ink in the printer. So while the order is coming in (Russ orders cartridges online for cheap cheap), and I wait to print some more photos, I thought I would post some other crafty things I've been doing. And I guess one of them is a scrapbook, so it's not all for naught.

Here is a headband I finished for my gift exchange buddy at Dad's house...Martine. Too bad she's not going to be in town for Christmas...her and my brother are spending it with her Dad in BC. I'm just glad she likes Lime Door stuff...the other ideas for gifts were non-existent!

I only hope she's not reading my blog this week! HA! Kind of spoils the surprise!

Most of you who read the blog know that I'm trying out a Christmas Countdown Calendar for Lucas this year. Every day he gets a note telling him where to look for his present. It's usually a book, sometimes a game, or a special date with me! I've been trying to take instant photos of some of the more exciting days! And I made a little mini album to document the adventure.
I write down the note from the calendar on each page, then write a little story about the present, or what happened that day. I kept the layout pretty simple on each page...mostly just an embellishment or two and the number. I wanted to have space to write on each page and include a photo if necessary. The final page has a Maya Road envelope on it for extra pictures or text.
I took pictures of some more pages of the book, but apparently I am crazy shaky today...they actually look like I was shaking the camera when I took the shots. Weird. So I will leave the rest of the book for another day.

And look...it's me again!
"Hi! I'm a dork! Like my wreath that's not a "wreath" per se, in that it is not round? Awesome!"
look! it's me!
Lucas is sick today. He slept most of yesterday away, on all the beds and one out of two couches in the house. He is missing his ride-the-bus field trip today, but hopefully that means he won't have to miss his school party tomorrow.

I've been busy opening, and handing out presents at work this morning. I gave all the girls a pair of 2% cashmere socks from Superstore. I love these socks! I think it's going to be a slow day...
later...
