They have been playing that horrid Mini-Pops commercial on tv all morning. So that song snippet is stuck in my head and I do not appreciate it! Weren't the Mini-Pops so much cooler when I was a kid? Or am I just deluding myself?
The topic for my 52 Weeks project is love this month. I guess that's fitting...but so far the week for the project is always my low week of the month! Maybe this week will be different. I haven't quite finished my entry for last month (bad girl!) so I hope this month goes better.
Finished a super cool mini book on Saturday. It's being posted on my Techneeks blog after I'm done here. I am in love with paint and collage and being messy right now! I got my Kelly Rae Roberts print in the mail last week and while I have no idea where it's going to hang, it has already inspired me a great deal! Plus, Naomi lent me her book and I am even more inspired reading about her journey to lead a creative life. One chapter was on letting go of the fear that is stopping you from leading your creative life, and listening to your "whispers". I have decided to take the first step and start looking into art retreats...I know that sounds like a stupid fear, but I have always felt "left out" because I don't "belong to" an artist's community and feel like an impostor when I even think about it...what do I know about art!?!? So I am going to look into classes and retreats that are close by (and less expensive!) and just try getting my feet a little wet!
The Farmer's Market was great again yesterday! I bought mini-bagels this time, with cucumber dill cream cheese...I could eat that stuff forever! Plus all the requisite veggies and pears. I love it there! Check out ...and other song titles... today for my Eco Monday post. Today I'm writing about the controversy behind microwaving plastic.
We're in the last month count down until we leave for Dallas! It is going to be super fun...I can't wait to see my aunts again. It has been way too long! And it will be fun to see Sherry's house...it's every colour in the world! Woot!
here's my mini book...slideshow c/o Picasa. Don't ask me why some of hte pics are blurry and some aren't. I guess I haven't quite mastered the art of taking pics one-handed!
