This is how I said it in my head, no word of a lie. What I meant to think is "Trip Shopping"
Russ and I have (informally) decided to base our future trips on Triple D locations. It worked with Portland. Boy howdy, did it ever!
Which means coming up will be Chicago, Phoenix, Albuquerque, in no particular order.
Luchadors. I read an article in the Metro paper recently about how you can go to a family-friendly Luchador show in the south west US! Eek!
And I really really want to see the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Albuquerque. But Russel really really wants to see the Grand Canyon.
It's too bad all the cool stuff down there is so far from each other. Four Corners, White Sands, Mesa Verde...and the Grand Canyon is on the other side of Arizona from Albuquerque, NM
And I really really don't want to go down in the summer and cook my little buns off. Good thing I don't mind pulling Lucas from school for a couple of days! The Balloon Festival is in October, which is the low tourist season everywhere else down there as well.
I found this cool site. You can see right on a map where the DDD locations are in any given city. This one happens to be Albuquerque's.
So any of you know any fun stuff to do in Albuquerque? I was just commenting to a couple of people the other day that I don't like going to popular vacation destinations. I like the weird cities!

p.s. Hi Me...here is a good link for the Balloon Festival, in case you decide to go! And a Route 66 refresher in town, and a link to kid-friendly stuff. And this looks like a cool Tourism Arizona site.
Hahahaha! Your title got my attention. I've been to most of the places you mention and had a blast at all of them! The planning is half the fun, IMO.
