Watch these movies...
Cherrybomb (sounds ridonkulous, but it has Rupert Grint in it, so...)
Pride and Prejudice - even though it has Keira Knightly in it, whom I think is ridonkulous
Pride and Prejudice - starring Colin Firth, because, well, Colin Firth...
The Jane Austen Book Club
Becoming Jane - I've seen this one, and had it saved on my box for ages, and I still wish I had never deleted it
Mansfield Park- with Billie Piper. Even thought I hated the book, I wouldn't mind seeing the tv adaptation, because of Billie Piper (of Dr. Who fame)
The Real Jane Austen - an expansive BBC documentary that I'm sure has to be online (and accessible outside of the UK) somewhere
Atonement
300 Days of Summer
One Week
Now that we have Netflix, I don't feel bad about renting chick flicks!! HA! Also, do you notice a theme in my movie selections? I'm sure there are other, non-Jane Austen related movies out there, but I just can't think of too many right now...

Get a library card.
I am trying so hard to ration my reading this month, as I technically only have one new book to read, and I desire books right now.
Truth be told, I despise my local library branch. I much prefer the one in my old neck of the woods, but it is such an inconvenient drive. I might just have to suck it up and make the trek. Or suck it up, and check out my local branch. Either way, there will be sucking.

Get motivated.
Usually when I have the strong desire to read I lose the desire to do anything else, and I mean anything. I am hoping not to lost too much momentum going forward into the week.
I am teaching a class on Saturday. That should keep me going at least a little bit, keep me busy I mean. It's something. And I'm almost finished my last custom media pocket from my show in November (I am terrible...) so that's something as well.

I had something else to share, but I've forgotten. It's too cold in here, my brain has stopped functioning normally. I think that when your car's dashboard is telling you that it is -26, you shouldn't be obligated to go to work, or anywhere really. You should be obligated to put on your comfiest pajamas, grab a hot tea and knitted blanket, and curl up on the couch to watch any (or all) of the above mentioned movies. And snuggle with someone.
My two cents.
listening to...Local Natives
wearing...fingerless gloves, scarf, layers and layers and layers of clothing
later skater alligator
Hey Lisa! One week is one of my favorite movies! You should see it. Also I gave been hitting up the library as well latey, I use the epl app on my iPhone to place holds, I agree the millwoods branch leaves alot to be desired!
ReplyDeleteI could lend you some books if you promise to return them. I got some books last Christmas, like 2009, that I haven't read because I don't have the time. I'll put together a bag and bring it to mom's tomorrow. Maybe there is something in my stash that you will enjoy.
