Sometimes the Internet is Stupid

So I was reading this cool magazine of Heather's last night called Ready Made and I went to check out their website and see if I could subscribe and for how much. Well, apparently if you are Canadian you can't sign up on their website, but they don't give you another option (like a mailng address) and they don't give you an email address that you can send inquiries to. Stupid stupid stupid.

Also, I have been finding that I spend a lot of time doing NOTHING on the computer...it is a huge time suck for me. So no Eco-Monday post today and no Project post on Saturday. I also find that if I spend a whole day on the Internet (which has been known to happen) I am a much grumpier person for it in the evening. So I only have four things on my Internet to-do list today:

1. Cancel Country Living subscription (I signed up at the beginning of January and my first issue will be April's!! What the...)

2. Check out Ready Made.com (done...and I will be back since I can't subscribe but still want to learn about how to make cool things out of everyday objects!)

3. Ask for shoeboxes...this one goes out to my readers. I am looking for small boxes, like shoeboxes, in which to store my scrapbooking supplies. I just can't bring myself to buy things like boxes when most people have lots just laying around! They need to be square or rectangular (no circles or ovals, no round edges) and fairly small (no bigger than one foot square). And they need to still have their lids (preferably ones that can come off completely and aren't on a hinge or whatever). Thanks in advance!

4. Pimp cookie dough...this one goes out to you guys again. Lucas is still selling English Bay cookie dough for his latest fundraiser. If you do this good deed for me I will remember you when your kids are doing fundraisers years from now!! Got it? $12 gets you dough to make 48 cookies and will store in the freezer for one year! There are lots of flavours, from your standard chocolate chip to the more exotic Macadamian Nut ($14). And I hear it's just great to eat on it's own when you're having one of "those days." Let me know how many buckets you would like! Thanks in advance.

Later,

P.S. Have been reading the IKEA catalogue again. Only bad things can come from this.

  1. Hey Lisa! I have a few shoe boxes you can have, 2 or 3 I think. Also I will also buy some cookie dough from you, I know how fundraising goes, both the kids are in beasvers/cubs so I have to do twice as much! Let me know when you need the money, I can come by whenever or to the store on Sat. Let me know what works for you!

  2. Hey Lisa :)

Damn....wish I had known about the shoebox thing sooner, I just sent 2 boxes into recycle this past week.

As for cookie dough....I'll buy one. My hesitancy in the past has been that if I got the dough I would eat it all myself, but I now have co-workers I can make the cookies for!! YAY! You better have one heck of a memory though, kids could be ten years in the making for me! ;) Let me know what works for money transfer and such.
