How was your Christmas?? Mine was good! Saw lots of family, and we're still not done theoretically (thanks to Scott and Jessica for unwittingly bailing us out of another dinner!!). Santa was good to the Kercher clan...especially Lucas. I think I need to buy another house just to store all of his new Cars stuff!!Oh and batteries. I need to go buy lots of batteries!
My fave gift is the Gorilla tripod Mom and Heath bought me...it can go anywhere and hang from anything. I took the picture above by wrapping it's legs around the arm of my parent's treadmill. It is super cool, and small so I can take it with me wherever I go. And I got a digital picture frame, which is kind of neat-o too. And I got three of the same brooches in three different colours!! But that's okay because if I take them all back, I can buy a nice pair of pants or a sweater or something. Funny how that works! They are all SO gorgeous, but do I really need three???
I even got to work for a couple of hours today at TMs Boxing Day Sale. Nothing like the Best Buy Sale that Russ convinced me to go to. Oh man was there ever a line up...and we showed up after 3pm! I would hate to have seen it at 6am!! I heard people were already lining up at 2:30 this morning. NO deal is worth that! I think TVs and anything with the words XBox 360 or Wii on it were going fast. There was this annoying woman in front of us in line who bought this little iPod/Blackberry/PDA pouch-thing...why would you fight the crowds for that??
I've been staying up late watching lots of sappy movies the past couple of days. If you're up for a good chick flick, check out: Becoming Jane with Anne Hathaway and yummy James McIvoy; Little Women, which is good despite the fact that Winona Rider is kind of a corny wuss bag; The Shop around the Corner which is the movie that You've Got Mail (with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks) was based on. The original is black and white and stars Jimmy Stewart, and boy-howdy does he ever have giant hands. I'm not kidding! I also caught Meet Me in St. Louis with Judy Garland, which is like a Christmas movie that isn't really a Christmas movie!
I already have a mini-album planned for the new year...one page a month of me: self-portraits, words of wisdom, that sort of thing. AND I've devised a unique way of displaying my mini-albums, as none of them want to be the stand-up-by-themselves sort. I screw a little hook into my wall, and hang it from it's handy binder ring! Awesome!! And when I get sick of looking at one, I can just exchange it for another one in my stash! Woot!!
Okay, that's enough for now. I'm thinking it will be quiet in the store tomorrow, so I might get some work done on the new mini. And I'll be sure to post!
Love ya long time,
Usa
