Mess Making Session

I made a little naughty or nice board. Russ thinks it's goofy (I think he actually asked me what it was for!!), but me-thinks it's pretty cool! I'm going to make little tags to hang from below our doodle-portraits that say naughty and nice, so you can change them depending on what's been going on!

It's all covered with paint, and stickles, and Glimmer Mist, and alcohol ink and paper...love it!

I used a bunch of found items (Joe Fresh clothes tag, free art calendar) and some other rad things in my stash (True/False dial, tulle, RRD chipboard snowflakes)

And of course my little doodle people!! WOOT!

I hope this at least inspires you to create something "Holiday" for your home!

FYI: the Riff Raff snowflakes are covered in white paint, then smeared with Platinum Stickles. I painted the doodle people with Glimmer Mist so they shimmer a little in the light! The key to this piece is layer layer layer. You can't really see it, but I painted the words "merry & bright" all over the cardboard before I did anything else to it. And I just kept playing with it until I had something I liked! Oh, and the cardboard back is actually the top of a box of mandarin oranges!!

I'm in the process of finishing a denim and orange piece that is super cool! I'll post once I've got the text in place!
