mmm...atreyu... If you haven't heard this song by Atreyu (sp?), you need to! It's quite rad!

I love it when i get a day off from my full-time job. That is, someone else watches Lucas and I go do my own thing. Today that meant work with my step-mom and go shopping on Whyte Ave. And boy did I shop!! I spent $50 at Wee Book Inn (used books) and another $25 at Le Papier (stamp and rad postcards). But it's all for ongoing or coming up art projects, so I don't feel bad at all!! Plus I worked today and yesterday, so I have the money to splurge a little bit!

I also had fun at Colours yesterday...they sell all kinds of art supplies. And they always have lots of stuff on sale. Which is good. I got some necessities (gesso and gel medium) and some frivolities (mini watercolour set, spiral journal). I'm trying to come up with a little scrapbook/journal I can take with me to San Diego and scrapbook while I'm there. It worked really well for my Kelowna trip last summer, although I still haven't finished the last day. But I figure since we have a late plane ride home (and hopefully Lucas will be sleeping...) I might actually get the book finished. Minus photos of course. I can't believe we leave in 8 days! Woot!

Nadine really liked the canvas I made her...and now everybody wants one! Juli is first on my list...I'll start on Jill's when I come back from my trip...and I've already started planning out Veronica's...the rest of you will just have to wait! But they are so fun...it's nice to play in someone else's colour and style, and make something that they would find special!

And I was going to post photos, but guess what...Blogger won't let me! I'll finish what I was doing before I got computer-sidetracked and then try again!
