New Hambly

In the process of trying to find where "for the love of effers" has gone, I got onto one of the effers blogs and was admiring her hambly-like pages. And I thought, but that can't be Hambly. And yet it is...brand-spanking Hambly. It's GORGEOUS!! Wood grain and brick in LIME GREEN. Polka dots in java and sea foam. There was a link to the hambly blog in her post, so I took it, and there are more sneak peeks there. This stuff is awesome! I am so jealous of Chantel right now, all up in CHA heaven. I wonder what it would take to bribe her to bring me along next time!!

Rouge de Garance

We finally have it at the store! It's so beautiful. Plus we just got in brand spanking, never-been-seen, CHA "sneak peek" Cherry Art paper, which is also really cute, even though I'm not a huge fan of Cherry Art.

Bam Pop-my-eyes-out

If you thought Bam Pop couldn't get any awesomer, you were wrong bee-atch! They have started taking pre-orders for volume 3 and might I just say that it's "rad" (there's paper that has the word "rad" all over it!). The new stamps are cool (V, I think you'll like the rainbow love and the "my-little-pony" look alike. Tres awesome. I can't wait! But wait I will, with baited breath and open wallet.

OMG

So I'm posting to 2peas (check it out by the way), and I always like reading comments people have left for me and I read one that is really great and then I notice who wrote it. And that's where the OMG comes in. She's no GG or anything, but I absolutely love her style and her pages and her colours and her everything. She's an Urban shopper (I 'member her from my days there), and she "collects", but she also uses everything she collects on her pages. Sometimes all on one page! And that's why I love her. And that's why I'm so floored that she likes me too!

P.S. Did I really just type "OMG"!? I need to go to bed. I'm becoming a teenage girl before your very eyes...Can't look away...it's like a car wreck...

Yee Haw

I didn't hear any yee-haws at the Stampede, but I did see way too many pink cowboy hats. And I saw the Doodlebops (woot!). We didn't get a lot of good photos to scrapbook, but I do what I can.

Very creative lately

I've been feeling very creative lately. The monthly block hasn't hit me in a while. It's nice to be able to sit down and do something every couple of nights. And my blogging and crackbook haven't got in the way. In fact I think being on the Internet boosts my creativity and urge to scrapbook. Plus I've been buying things... For those of you who know me, you know that I don't buy things until absolutely necessary. Screw that! I like pretty things! Hambly is my greatest vice. Every time I go in to work, I buy some Hambly. I'm waiting for a restock right now so I can go in and spend more money. I'm teaching a class tomorrow night (a really cool file folder album I created), so I can predict that tomorrow night I will be spending some more money. Woot!

P.S. The album is really cute and if you want to take the class PLEASE SIGN UP, because so far it will be me and no one else. (sad face)

One Little Word

I just added a link to this blog on my sidebar. It's another take on the "challenge" blog. But this one has a neat twist: they give you a word to scrap around. I might try my hand at this one. I like one word pages! And remember my challenge to you ladies this month: submit a page to a challenge site. I've seen V's on The Goodie Box, but I have yet to see any others. Effer Dare

I have submitted my first ever Effer Dare. This blog has been a favourite of mine for some time, but none of the dares really stood out to me. But this one is my dare soulmate: use a found item! Gasp! Can you believe it!? It's like they picked my brain and all they could see was one word. Okay, one phrase. "Found Item." Over and over and over again. "Found item." And so I could have just gone through my album and picked a layout already completed, but I thought that an Effer Dare deserves a brand spanking page, instead of a oldy mouldy. Check it out here.

I was reading through my posts from last night and I noticed the time seemed off. I didn't think I went to bed as early as the time stamp was telling me. And I didn't! The default or something was set to Pacific time! I know that's not even post-worthy news, but here I am and I thought I would add to the words circulating through the night air right now. It's fixed now by the way.

Mad Mad Mad

I don't normally get frustrated when I scrap. But tonight nothing seems to be going my way. My space seemed too crowded, and I kept trying to push things out of my way. A lot of stuff just ended up on the floor. I'm agonizing over every accent, something I normally never do. And I just can't seem to get the page to feel "even." I've finished the layout and it looks awesome, but it's driving me mad! Now I will go try to get some sleep. I'll try and remember to post it tomorrow.

P.S. It's my goodie box challenge for July: summer photos. I challenge everyone to enter at least one "challenge" page somewhere this month. Doesn't have to be goodie box. there are lots of sites to choose from. Or maybe you just challenge yourself to finish that one page that has been giving you some hassle. Or you could send some photos my way and I'll do 'em up nice and crazy for you.

Goal: My goal this month is to start an art journal. All of my "journals" could sort of be described as such, but I'm going to go for the gusto and really spend some quality time with this.

Ch-ch-changing

I've decided to change the focus of this blog. I'm not really concerned with my weight right now. I've hit my pre-Lucas weight and I'm a happy camper. So, now this blog will focus on my obsession with scrapbooking. I'll try to post my pages here, and links to both product sites and other scrappers. I'm hoping to keep on top of updating this one more regularily, to the point where I might actually get at it once a week. Gasp!
